Manufacturing Associate- Night Shift

Highlights of your role

  • Complete manufacturing orders by visually inspecting all parts to check for quality conformity
  • Perform quality checks by using measuring devices such as calipers, angle blocks, taper gauges, tape measure, and measuring tables
  • Assist in training new associates, as needed
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

 

Schedule & Pay

  • The normal work schedule includes working 36 hours one week (Sun/Wed/Thu) and 48 hours the next (Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat).
  • Work 7 out of 14 days and every other weekend is a three-day weekend off!

Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 6:45 PM

            Pay: Effective hourly rate $23.64 ($20.75 base + $4.00 weekend premium)

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment and facility, troubleshooting, repairing, and ordering parts. This position is responsible for the quality of all work performed.

Key Responsibilities:                  

  • Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized work area
  • Provides good quality service
  • Timely support
  • Root cause determination
  • Good follow-up on issues
  • Appropriately plans work looking at all priorities
  • Coordinates with production & leadership look ahead at the schedule
  • Focuses on equipment follow-up issues, PMs, and work orders
  • Makes sure the following shifts are set up to be successful
  • Orders parts and repairs as needed​

Shift Support Focus

  • Supports operations by properly maintaining equipment
  • Provides crisis support
  • Performs line start-up checks
  • Assists production on setup and adjustments as needed
  • Monitors and works toward reducing scrap, non-conformance, and downtime due to equipment issues
  • Monitors and maintains facility equipment; uses building checklist
  • Implements improvements to equipment, processes, methods, etc…

Schedule: 6:30 am - 6:45 pm

Work 7 out of 14 days!  Get every other weekend off!

Pay

Competitive base wage based on experience.   Plus additional $2/hr weekend premium.

Production Associates fill one of two roles.  Associates are selected for one of these positions based on interest, skills, and previous experience.

1.  Pultrusion Operators - Operators are responsible for running a production line.  They ensure a continuous supply of raw materials, machine set up and operation, and troubleshooting.  This position requires associates to manage and prioritize multiple tasks that ensure the continuous operation of the production line.  Candidates must have a good memory and problem-solving skills.  Once trained, this position provides training and mentoring to new associates.  Basic math and computer skills are required.

Materials Preparation Associate - Night Shift

  • Completes all quality testing and measurement requirements; performs and documents testing of non-conforming materials as prescribed/assigned
  • Prepares raw materials to specification to use in production
  • Ensures materials are delivered to the production lines in a timely manner
  • Provides timely and friendly service to all customers
  • Actively maintains a clean work area

6:30 PM 6:45 AM

Work 7 out of 14 days and every other weekend is a 3 day off!

Machine Operator-Night

Are you looking for a role in a manufacturing environment applying your attention to detail and hands-on experience? If yes, join Tecton, a member of the Marvin Family of Companies, as an Extrusion Machine Operator. At Tecton, we design and manufacture innovative pultruded fiberglass composite materials, superior to the industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of extrusion including, but not limited to, handling raw materials, producing parts on the production line, and prepping finished goods for shipment.

 Essential Functions:

  • Perform quality checks on extrusions being produced
  • Perform proper set-up and shut-down procedures
  • Setup, teardown, clean up, and safe handling of extrusion tooling
  • Identify, stage, and prep raw materials for extrusion orders
  • Troubleshoot and correct extrusion-related defects
  • Monitor the process through documentation of processing variables
  • Utilize forklift as needed to move raw materials and/or finished goods within the plant
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as identified by the schedule load

Schedule: 

Mon-Thurs

12:00 PM - 10 PM 

The schedule will eventually move to the 12hr shift schedule. The training schedule will work day shift hours.

Pay:

Base pay- $20.00 / hour
