Production Associate - Day Shift (VA)

Production Associates fill one of two roles.  Associates are selected for one of these positions based on interest, skills, and previous experience.

1.  Pultrusion Operators - Operators are responsible for running a production line.  They ensure a continuous supply of raw materials, machine set up and operation, and troubleshooting.  This position requires associates to manage and prioritize multiple tasks that ensure continuous operation of the production line.  Candidates must have a good memory and problem solving skills.  Once trained, this position provides training and mentoring to new associates.  Basic math and computer skills required.

Responsibilities include:

· Compliance with the Good Laboratory Practice in effect within the R&D function.

· Perform analytical testing with accuracy and precision; prepare reagents and/or solutions, etc. according to laboratory procedures.

· Resolve and (re)write improvements to methods and procedures.

· Accurately and precisely conduct analyses of test results; keep accurate records and data for projects.

Cost Accountant (ND)

The Cost Accountant responsible for performing financial analysis in an accurate and timely manner; this position provides proactive/highly accurate information, analysis, and recommendations to the management team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the plant controller with month end and year end close by performing account reconciliations and preparing journal entries as needed. Support the year end financial audit by preparing schedules requested by the auditors. Ensure assigned duties to support these processes are completed timely and accurately.
  • Preparation of profitability reports including analysis of individual products, segments, and customer profitability
  • Perform analysis of the material cost of sales accounts for month end close and provide reports to management
  • Calculate payback and return on investment for company projects, product lines, or any other objectives as assigned
  • Monitor financial trends and key performance metrics; identify opportunities

Human Resources Coordinator (VA)

Position Summary:        

The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, overseeing non-exempt recruiting, skill level advancement programs, onboarding, administering various HR related company policies, and state and federal HR compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:                  

  • Recruit for non-exempt open positions and perform the full life cycle of recruiting activities including sourcing and screening applicants, coordinate background checks & pre-employment checks, maintain recruiting systems, draft offer letters, provide follow-through with candidates, and track & report recruiting statistics.
  • Lead associate onboarding activities, HR orientation and new hire paperwork; provide support to managers when integrating new hires into the organization.
  • Maintain associate records and files. Including I-9 files in accordance with Federal and State laws.
  • Coordinate new hire, termination, and change of status communications to appropriate staff members.
  • Serve as associate liaison to assist in problem resolution with issues related to benefits, policies and pay.
  • Coordinate and ensure completion of associate exit interviews. Report outcome of exit interview information to management and tracks/maintains data.
  • Coordinate Benefits by providing new associates with an explanation of benefits and instruct them on enrollment procedures, answer benefits questions, assist associates with enrolling in benefits plans, inform associates of changes to benefits, assist in resolving associate issues with benefits, and coordinate the annual open enrollment program.
  • Coordinate and oversee the skill level testing program for Roanoke by tracking eligibility, coordinating testing, ensuring completeness of paperwork and record retention. Works closely with the Training Coordinator in Fargo on any proposed program revisions and the overall direction of training for associates.
  • Responsible for office management duties such as ordering office supplies and other office equipment contracts such as copier and postage meters.
  • Coordinate the Random Drug Screening Program.
  • Maintain and update monthly detailed expenses and budget spreadsheet.
  • Print and distribute hourly pay checks/stubs.
  • Assist the HR Manager in planning the Annual Tecton Meeting.
  • Maintain and create HR spreadsheets as needed (ex. Recruiting, Headcount etc.)

Tool & Die Maker (ND)

 

This position is responsible for safely setting up and operating equipment in the Tool & Die shop while maintaining a focus on quality workmanship. Our shop is a safe, clean and cutting-edge environment.

Previous experience with CNC grinders and EDM’s preferred, ability to read engineering prints, and capability to compute/convert die dimensions are requirements.  Completion of a related technical degree is strongly preferred. 

This position is following the YELLOW NIGHT shift schedule and hours are 6:30 p.m. – 6:45 a.m.  The normal work schedule includes working 36 hours one week (Sun/Wed/Thu) and 48 hours the next (Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat).  All hours over 40 hours per work week are compensated at an overtime rate.  With this schedule you only work 7 out of 14 days and every other weekend is a three-day weekend off!
