Production Associate - Night Shift (ND)

This position inspects finished goods as they come off the manufacturing line, prepares shipping labels, and packs product.  Responsibilities include operating fabrication equipment, monitoring product quality to ensure customer specifications are met and preparing equipment/materials for production runs.  Once trained, provide mentoring and training to new associates.  Basic math and computer skills required.

Hours for this position are 6:30 p.m.- 6:45 a.m.  The normal work schedule includes working 36 hours one week (Sun/Wed/Thu) and 48 hours the next (Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat).  All hours over 40 hours per work week are compensated at an overtime rate.  With this schedule you only work 7 out of 14 days and every other weekend is a three-day weekend off!

Hours for day shift positions are 6:30 a.m. - 6:45 p.m. and night shift positions are 6:30 p.m. - 6:45 a.m.  Part Time opportunities include working 36 hours every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) or 24 hours every other weekend (Friday and Saturday).  Working every weekend with the previously mentioned schedules is an option as well.  Additional hours may be available, dependent on business needs.

Material Preparation Associate - Day Shift (ND)

Position Summary

This position prepares raw materials to specifications to use in production and responsible for ensuring delivery of materials to production lines in a timely and accurate manner.

Quality Control Inspector - Nights (ND)

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for supporting production through inspection and testing of product to ensure specifications are being met, analyzes test data, communicates quality issues to appropriate supervisor(s), helps drive problem resolution and contains product which does not meet specification.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support production through inspection and testing of product
  • Analyze test results and determine acceptability of product
  • Communication quality issues to appropriate supervisor(s) and help drive problem resolution
  • Contain product which does not meet specification
  • Look for opportunities to improve the inspection and test processes
  • Act as the customer advocate to ensure product meets customer requirements
  • Report product non-conformance, including disposition, correction and resolution
  • Effectively execute decisions on product acceptability
  • Effectively communicate decisions on product acceptability to all appropriate members of team leadership

Assistant Production Shift Supervisor - Night Shift (VA)

Responsible for assisting the Production Shift Supervisor by ensuring that production schedules are attained.  This is an indirect labor position responsible for supporting, and cross-training, with the Production Shift Supervisor.   This role should be considered “hands on” and maintains responsibility for producing high-quality product for our customers.  Priorities are assisting with personnel management, people development/training, and maintaining focus on product quality, schedule attainment, and process improvements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help create a safe working environment by working with the Shift Supervisor to hold associates accountable for safe behavior.  Ensure shift associates’ safety training and safety observations are completed on time. Ensure general housekeeping of the plant and related areas are well kept to ensure a safe and productive environment.
  • Hands on management to develop self sufficient team members by teaching them to troubleshoot and resolve pultrusion issues.  Hold associates accountable to performing to the expectations of their position and promptly address deficiencies. 
  • Work to establish a team culture within the shift through effective management and people development.  Encourage team building.  Address associate administrative concerns, such as attendance, PTO, safety observations, etc.
  • Work with the team to improve uptime, line speed, and good product metrics.
  • Assist in process improvements, including SOPs, post-crash audits, and recommendations.  
  • Ensure accurate reporting with regard to ICIM programs.
  • Be prepared to take on the roles and responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor when the Shift Supervisor is not present.

Logistics

Material Handler - Night Shift (VA)

Responsibilities include: Operating forklift vehicles in accordance with all internal and external safety procedures and trainings; serving Operations (and other customer groups as requested) by ensuring the flow of materials/products within the facility is optimized.  

Compensation for this full-time position is $15 per hour, plus an additional $1.00/hour night shift differential

Hours for this position are 8:15 p.m. – 6:45 a.m.

Production Associate - Night Shift (VA)

Production Associates fill one of two roles.  Associates are selected for one of these positions based on interest, skills, and previous experience.

1.  Pultrusion Operators - Operators are responsible for running a production line.  They ensure a continuous supply of raw materials, machine set up and operation, and troubleshooting.  This position requires associates to manage and prioritize multiple tasks that ensure continuous operation of the production line.  Candidates must have a good memory and problem solving skills.  Once trained, this position provides training and mentoring to new associates.  Basic math and computer skills required.

2.  Pultrusion Inspectors - This position inspects finished goods as they come off the manufacturing line, prepares shipping labels, and packs product.  Responsibilities include operating fabrication equipment, monitoring product quality to ensure customer specifications are met and preparing equipment/materials for production runs.  Once trained, provide mentoring and training to new associates.  Basic math and computer skills required.
